- The United Kingdom Government launched a £20 million programme to create four new Centres of Excellence for Regulatory Science and Innovation. The centres will focus on data-driven approaches, AI, early detection, personalized healthcare, and new healthcare technologies. Read More
- Dominica is developing a centralized health workforce database with technical support from the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). The database will track health workers, their qualifications, specializations, and distribution. It will help the government plan staffing, identify training needs, and prepare for health emergencies. Read More
- The American Medical Association (AMA) announced the release of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) 2027 code set, with 299 new medical codes. The updates cover areas such as maternity care, radiology, prostate biopsies, and sleep medicine. The code set supports accurate healthcare documentation and data exchange. Read More
- Timaru Hospital in New Zealand started to use a new digital surveillance tool, ICNet, to identify and respond to winter illnesses faster.
