- Canada Health Infoway released the results of its 2025 Canadian Digital Health Survey. According to the results based on over 11,000 participants, there is a strong demand for connected digital health systems. Also, Canadians express strong interest in digital health services; 91% of the participants are interested in accessing their health records electronically, while 82% are interested in e-prescribing implementation. - NSW Health’s digital center of excellence, eHealth NSW, introduced GitHealth Pilot, an AI-powered coding assistant. This initiative reduces repetitive work and supports faster software development by offering real-time suggestions in the code editor. Read More
- New Zealand is investing $10.5 million in the expansion of telehealth services for mental health and addiction support. The funding also includes the development of an AI-enabled triage and referral tool across publicly funded mental health and addiction helplines. The country aims to reduce service pressure and provide more timely, accessible mental health care. Read More
- Australia’s Share by Default reforms require pathology and diagnostic imaging reports to be uploaded to My Health Record by default, leading to a 105% increase in uploaded reports and a 433% rise in consumer views. Healthcare providers believe that these reforms will improve care coordination, reduce duplicate testing, and enhance patient access to personal health information. Read More
- The American Medical Association (AMA) launched an interoperability initiative for electronic prior authorization. This project focuses on mapping SNOMED CT clinical terminology to CPT codes, a step toward reducing administrative burden and improving data exchange between clinical and billing systems. Read More
